autumn equinox
Dave's friend Anton came over (with another guitarist friend) for a celebratory equinox evening by the fireside on Saturday. They brought an acoustic, a Les Paul electric and an amp with them, and Dave was talked into switching on the generator for a while. It ended up with me plugging my saz into the amp and jamming with Anton, mostly. A strange combination of blues, folk songs, The The, Zep's "Kashmir", Joni Mitchell and Pentangle songs I'd never heard and some Anton originals.
Anton's apparently got a 32-track digital recorder in his garden shed, so we may get together for some recording at some point.
And a lovely golden sunrise seen over a misty orchard in the Broad Oak valley the next morning - with inverted crespuscular rays!
