Baked potatoes and hummus with Angela first (all the food she ever makes is unbelievably fresh and amazing tasting). Nice crowd, really lively! Saw Josh and Jamie, Barney Pidgeon, Billy from Cocos and his heavily pregnant wife Alex. Lorenzo's ultraweird sax solo during "Septopode" (with wahwah and some other effects) got a massive cheer, like we were in an alternate universe jazz club. Conrad's guitar playing was just ridiculous...he's like Fripp or Frith, but just wild, and doesn't care. They were about to head off to tour Europe as far as the Balkans, promoting their new mini-LP Muck. And this all started/finished early enough for me to get train home without rushing.
