DJing Loyda's 30th

A surprise party thrown by her partner Phil (ex-Lapis). He'd put together a salsa playlist (her favourite music to dance to), but the YouTube ads were a bit of a drag so I happily agreed to DJ (a quick bikeride to get my laptop and labcoat). Here's a photo he took of me in Prof. Appleblossom mode:

It was a populist set to suit the family vibes, with a lot of Latin flavour, some poppy funk and disco-type-stuff. Weirdly, the exact millisecond I cued up "Groove Is In the Heart", Loyda's sister Eva wandered up to ask for that track (the only request of the afternoon/evening). No mix recording.
